Report Summary

Data is at the heart of everything we do. And our Strategic Needs Assessment (SNA) helps us translate data into insights.

The SNA is a useful report that includes analytical activities carried out by our partnership. We use the SNA to understand serious violence in the Humber region.

It is a Home Office requirement for all Violence Reduction Units and provides the evidence base for shaping our response strategy and commissioning interventions.

The data aims to identify the following:

  • Priority crime type(s)
  • Driver(s) of Serious Violence
  • Risk factor(s)
  • People at risk
  • Hotspot location(s) and hot-times

Read the public summary to discover key insights - including young people's perceptions of policing, the financial costs of serious violence, and risk factors linked to education.
