Youth-led Commissioning Pilot

Following discussions about a community alliance at our 2026 Partnership Conference, we have undertaken data analysis to identify ward areas with highest prevalence of serious violence – and perpetrators and victims living in those areas.

Bridlington South (East Riding of Yorkshire) and Crosby and Park (Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire) have been identified as pilot areas for exploration of a community-led approach to reducing serious violence.

As an initial stage, funding available from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for youth investment may be allocated to supporting targeted intervention delivery in these areas.

Local authority colleagues have been approached to understand what consultation has already been done to capture youth voice about gaps in youth provision in these locations.

We are holding focus groups with young people attending our funded interventions in these areas - Hull FC in Bridlington South and Iron Foundation in Crosby - to support these findings.

As part of the focus groups, we will also explore opportunities of how to involve young people in the commissioning process for targeted delivery.

We will update this page as the project progresses. You can also sign up to our newsletter for our latest news.
