About the Education Partnership
In the 2021-2025 Police and Crime Plan, the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner committed to a new partnership to improve crime education for young people.
This partnership brings together key stakeholders including Humberside Police, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, Safer Roads Humber and safeguarding and children's service leads for the four local authorities. The local authorities are Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
Their mission is to improve the availability, accessibility and quality of education and support for young people, preventing them from being impacted by crime.
By supporting schools and youth organisations in accessing age-appropriate resources and key safety messages, the Education Partnership encourages young people to become active thinkers and supportive bystanders within their schools and the wider community.
The Education Partnership also supports teachers and youth engagement professionals to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes in children so they can make positive choices in potentially challenging or dangerous situations.
