Programme Summary

This document outlines the planned interventions for 2026/27, setting out how the Humber VPP will deliver targeted, evidence-informed activity to reduce violence and its associated harms. The remit of these interventions spans primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention, including early years support, youth engagement, place-based initiatives, and focused work with individuals and communities most at risk of experiencing or perpetrating violence.

The interventions are designed to address underlying risk factors such as adverse childhood experiences, social inequality, and lack of opportunity, while also strengthening protective factors within families and communities.

For 2026/27, the Humber VPP has placed a strong emphasis on interventions directly shaped by local youth voice. Providers have been required to demonstrate how their delivery responds to the key concerns, wants, and needs identified by young people across the region. These priorities have been informed through a range of engagement activity, including local Hope Hacks, focus groups, and wider youth engagement work -making sure that interventions are relevant, responsive, and grounded in lived experience.
